Job Title: Registrar, High School

Summary
This individual performs duties as assigned by the principal and counselors such as maintaining student records, register new students, and build the master schedule. These duties assure the smooth and efficient operation of the school office so that the school’s maximum positive impact on the education of students can be realized.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Enrolls all new students and ensure all information is input in student information system.
- Ensures all grades are submitted and ready to post.
- Assists scheduling team with building master schedule and help build master schedule in student information system.
- Maintains transcript records and scans all documents into the student information system.
- Open and close grading windows (secondary)
- Enter Night School/Credit Recovery, Launch, Odysseyware, Acellus, and Summer School grades on transcripts
- Send progress and semester grades to parents (secondary)
- Maintain district subjects for HS, LTCC, HEC in IC
- Distribute new students’ transcript information.
- Forwards transcripts to requesting schools and colleges.
- Determine honors status (Honor Roll, TALES, President’s Education Award lists, etc…).
- Publishes scheduling guidebook.
- Ensure course codes are aligned for core data reporting
- Order diplomas, certificates, etc. for graduation.
- Manage senior exit cards.
- Assists students with scheduling and scholarships.
- Verify graduation requirements and transcripts.
- Help purge records.
- Assists counselors as needed.
- Performs other duties as requested by building administrators.

Qualifications
Education/Experience/Certificates
- High school diploma required.
- College is considered a plus.
- Such alternative to the above as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Skills and Abilities
Language
Individual must be able to read and interpret documents, Write simple and complex reports, applications, and correspondence, and speak with students, staff members, and community members.
Computation
Basic math skills are required.
Reasoning
The ability to interpret and follow directions is required, as are basic problem-solving abilities.
Technology
Must have strong computer skills, including word processing, working with spreadsheets, and internet. Must have the ability to learn new systems and software with instruction.
Additional Skills and Abilities
This individual must have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to multi-task, and the ability to safeguard confidential information. Also, must be organized, motivated, and honest.
